enjoy iceland, or is it ccp newcastle?

Remember, fearless; watch wha the users do, not say; metrics; awesome; brennivin; iceland rocks; new players are obviously more important to the health of a sandbox environment than the people who made the stories that got those same newbs interested in the first place; And the biggie, I dont play eve, anyone fancy wow? all should help get you that job ;)

Seriously though, good luck, and ffs get on team BFF the only team worth paying attention too.  Oh and become the guy who makes NPCs harder in kspace etc :D

It is in Iceland. It's for a QA tester, so probably wont have much sway on anything. Although I will be able to give the developers some stick for you all and get away with it. I know literally nothing about what i'll be testing or anything like that. Just that it's a QA job in Iceland. I hope it's testing Dust, I know you cant wait for that :p

QA, CCP have QA?  Then again thats where CCP Mindstar (formerly known as James W) got his start.

Shouldve said you were going, I'd have recommended a bunch of places to eat/drink/see and stuff.

Also, PLEASE say you ate at Nonnabitis after a nights boozing?  (Best sammich's anywhere at 3am!).

Bit different being a tourist than living there, though. I'd be getting a wage which will cover it, and it's not like i'd be out living it up like im on holiday. Well maybe for the first 6 months  ;)

As for the cold. Fuck it. Only a complete puff would go on about that.

From what I understand you can opt to be paid in Euro's/Pounds - theres a whole bunch of randomness kicking around from EVEO to failheap to Glassdoor about it.  I did see one thing that is a downer I suppose, the salary CCP offers is usually less than you get elsewhere for similar, but they help with relocating and everything - both when you start and when you leave.

And of course, you'll be eating at Nonnis every time you are in town :D

If you get it, I may have to about face on no more fanfests and go to next years...

Ive actually been looking for as much info as i can get my hands on about working for CCP to be honest. If you have any handy links etc. it'd be much appreciated. As for salary, if it's close to what i get now i'll be sorted, and I dont exactly get a massive wage for what I do.

Glassdoor for starters:

I'll trawl evesearch and failheap for anything else I can dig up later.

Quite some consistency in the cons.
But CCP management will probably say that despite what the playerworkerbase says, the figures show otherwise.   :P

8 or so disgruntled ex-employees agaisnt, what, maybe 500 who still work there happily now? I tend to focus on the pro's in these reviews. I could list so many cons about my current workplace which would probably put a lot people off, and probably would if i got so pissed off 1 day and decided to leave on bad terms, but it's still an amazing company to work for and would definitely recommend it to anyone on any other day.

From what i've read about the cons. These are just things that happen everywhere, and arnt specific to CCP.

For instance salary. The grass is always greener on the other side, and if you can earn 30-40% more somewhere else, why the hell are you sticking around.
Internal politics and wrong people in wrong places due to friends, i've yet to find the 1st company where this isnt the case.

So i would take the cons very lightly, and the pro's more heavily (because they are disgruntled BUT STILL have positive points!)
