These guys were in a Dutch tv-program yesterday. Liked the story behind their video clip:
Bandmember checks youtube after a live performance, curious to see if ppl uploaded their performance: Finds a clip of a girl dancing to their song. Comments on the vid: "hey, would  you like to finish that dance and have us make it into a clip?". Girl happens to live in Toronto -oops-, but a while later, they are closeby and their manager goes to Toronto, films the girl dancing for a day and now the clip nominated as one of the best videoclips of 2010 in a major Dutch newspaper (together with Lady Gaga, etc).

Or in their own words:
Quote
A while ago we stumbled upon this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR7Pv1gEm4Y of a dancer doing an improv on the track 'Fragile Meadow'. We got in touch and when we found out the girl happened to live in Toronto and we were going there for the NXNE Festival we had to meet. This video is the end result of a day well spend in the beautiful city of Toronto. A very special thank you is in order for Tessa who choreographed an awesome dance for us.

A live set from at the first large house festival in the world: The Mega Music Dance Experience in Utrecht (1993):

Fresh Fruit Records

Playlist:
1. Intro by Adam Curry, Jeroen van Inkel en DJ Zki
2. The Good Men – Give It Up
3. René et Gaston – Vallée de l’Armes
4. Jark Prongo – Complete Control
5. René et Gaston – Spectacle de Foire
6. René et Gaston – Coupe Brésil
7. Interlude (zitten! op de grond!)
8. The Good Men – Give It Up (Encore)
9. Outtro by Adam Curry

http://www.dancelog.nl/2009/08/06/blast-from-the-past-fresh-fruit-records-live-1993/

I was pleasantly surprised by this set. It's not the hardcore Holland got known for later on, but quite fun and melodious music where electronic beats stay rather at the background.
Loosely quoting Ruud: Fresh Fruits (a.k.a. The Good Men, René et Gaston, Klatsch, Mechanical Soul Saloon, Jark Prongo and more, or rather: DJ Zki en Dobre) got famous for their 'Amsterdam Sound': Melodious uplifting house with Latin influences.

Vincent churned out a new mix:

Quote
mixtape by Vince: Winter Chill

Vince about Winter Chill: A new year and that means a new mix. This time it’s a chill out mix. When I’m looking for new tracks, I come across very good records which just won’t sit in a traditional dance mix. So now I let these gems shine in a mix called ‘Winter Chill’.

The mix starts out quite easy on the ears at a soothing 85 bpm. After 12 minutes, the tempo drops even lower, to 63bpm, followed by the first dubstep track of the mix. The tempo then climbs to 95 bpm for some funky disco tracks. After a small break by Plaid, the tempo goes up to 120bpm for some deep and vocal dancefloor paced tracks. The mix then goes into the inevitable dubstep, breakbeat and drum ‘n bass phase, for good measure. Lots of variation in a mix, that in my opinion, turns out to be a very interesting listen!

As this has turned into Safs personal music post ;) ive got to get some more rock going on.

First the song that got me into the metal scene in the late 80s

and another of my favourites from around that time

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Yeah its a good site - and I really do like mashups so it is really good for me.  Some of them can be a bit meh, but in general they are very good from there.

Already got the Radio Soulwax mashups btw? They're great!
If not give me a nudge when I'm on and you can Hamachi them from me.
