So at least I am not the only one who cannot hit the broadside of a barn in this game?

My first gank night and it was hilariously fun even if I did become a victim of friendly fire :)

*= confused now*

so will kasrasi be closed too?

and do we still have corp assets in MN5?

I think we still have a few cap parts stuck in the office there. Was looking through the corp assets last night (it was a long trip and I was bored) and I am sure there were at least some cap parts

Go go eve-kill.net:

http://eve-kill.net/?a=corp_detail&crp_id=80648

lol.

Single corp in no alliance.  from other searches they seem like a VERY new corp, with vet or two thrown in for good measure.

Not sure ops areas for them - although with offices in amarr they seem more like an empire bunch,  basically just warn people to watch themselves in empire hubs/main transit routes.

From what people were saying last night in the alliance fleet they are the scummier end of people like EVE University and Agony. They train pirates and other unsavoury types. Although that said if they blob up they can still be a threat and well based on the aborted fleet op last night they are better equipped than us (frigs and cruisers vs Hacs and BCs)

There goes my winter.

not mine I will be saving my money till the inevitable expansion packs come out. Might as well wait for all the bugs to be worked out and then buy the complete edition.

EVE Online / Re: New mittani blog or "how to cry about failing at eve"
« on: February 23, 2010, 12:44:04 PM »

Basically:
"WAAHHHHHH we couldn't adapt"

He makes the mistake that the "great powers" as he puts it, was in any way the majority of the players of eve. CCP had the express purpose of getting more people into 0.0 with dominion. Have they succeeded? No idea.
It has driven some old "afk-empires" away. But maybe just maybe EvE will be a better place without those elitist turds? Being able to fund infinicaps for a alliance as large as goonswarm from the work of a handful of people harvesting a few dozen moons is bad. The changes that makes it impossible to fund that massive amounts of ships from unreacted moon-goo is good.

He might think the changes are bad. I think they are for the better and we will in time see a more dynamic and interesting 0.0.

Well to be fair this has destroyed the old style of alliances in which he was a big player. Losing your pre-eminence like that and having to adapt must come as quite a shock when you are top of the pile. That said I approve of anything that gets more people into Null sec whether as renters/pets/wageslaves or independent sov holders in their own right, the more power blocs in null sec the better as it might reduce the tendency to nap up to half of New Eden and spark some conflict. A galaxy with 20 great powers is more interesting than one with 4 superpowers.

Mechwarrior FREE Release Update and MTX Announced

Posted by Vam, Thursday, 10 September 2009 14:26 Comments(0), Read all
Its been awhile since we last updated you on the status of the FREE release of Mechwarrior4 so we felt the need to assure everyone that the time is nearing. We had hoped to release the FREE title the last weekend of summer but that unfortunately did not happen due to paperwork. As previously mentioned, I indicated that there are still a number issues to resolve before the FREE release. Those issues are resolving thanks to the hard work of many at MekTek. From a development stand point the FREE release is near ready to go but we are still waiting to resolve some of the legalities associated with such a wide distribution. While we have not provided a set date for the release, we are still on target, and our partners are happy with the progress MekTek has been making. Our focus on the FREE release has been revamping our match making service MekMatch in order to accommodate many more users. In addition to the work being conducted on the Mechwarrior4 FREE release, we are also working on a community software distribution and patching application which we have been alluding to on our forums. This software is known as MekTek X (or simply MTX). X stands for the last decade of service to the Mechwarrior community. MTX was developed out the need for a centralized distribution and patching point for all of MekTek's software currently being developed and planned to be released including MekPak4 for the FREE release, Single Player Campaigns from Mechwarrior4: Vengeance and Black Knight, Assault Tech1: BattleTech, and much more. This software has been in development by Studio MekTek since the announcement of the FREE release and successfully reached beta testing status two weeks ago. MTX is a free desktop product which has been thoroughly tested and will connect you with MekTek.net's community as well BattleTech.com and the rest of our partners.

MTX will be the central point of distribution for the launch of the FREE release. This application boasts some of the following features:

  # Bootstrap Installations
  # Incremental Delta Auto-Patching
  # Torrent or HTTP Downloading from an exclusive MekTek Tracker
  # Custom Web Browser
  # News Updates from MekTek and Partners
  # Online Help
  # Community Chat Lobbies
  # Network Diagnostic Tools

Stay tuned on BattleTech.com and MekTek.net for more information!

So, as it's already posted on 10 september, this means 2 things:
1) Many of you may already have found this.
2) They're being slow and are giving very litte info on their progression. Bastards! ;)

Last I heard there was some sort of legal problem that needed to be ironed out before they could release

Had a lot of fun playing wow over the years but I think now I am just completely burnt out on it. I went back for a couple of months when Wrath of the Lich king came out and it was a definite improvement its just that somehow it just did not seem as much fun as it used to be. Still if the mood ever takes me I can always drag out my old Boomkin and let free the moonfire spam.

I vote all former/current druid players become the designated redshirts :D

*Transforms into a Moonkin and moonfires Mang to death*

Unless it turns out to be an excellent and well polished game I doubt I will be playing STO. Just the combination of the uber Trekkies moaning about "whaaaaah it works different in lore" and NC Softs "Nerf it into the ground and then buff it back up slightly" approach to game balance I cannot see me enjoying the game.  I would be tempted though to roll a character named something like Darth Ferrosol  just to enjoy the nerd rage at getting my star wars in their star trek.

Surprised at how many Caldari ships there are on the field. I expected to see a lot more Amarr stuff on the field. One thing watching the tournament  as a relative newbie to pvp is how much E-War and ECM drones seem to be flying back and forth. Working my way through the first days Videos but so far it appears that Against All Authorities are the ones to watch.
