The corps had towers up already - so when they joined the alliance - all that was needed was a DT for the sov to start gaining ground.
When I checked yesterday they had gained sov in around 50% of the systems they controlled before.
With "gold-rush" fever that's going on - it's going to be interesting to watch what happens.

Will they be able to defend what they have regained :)

Hard question to answer.  They lost a lot of resources and their main routes to empire.

Looks like EXE did what any good pet does and gave up space to their masters...

Theyve lost some of their former holdings in Period Basis with Kenzoku gaining them - in addition to the gains Rub mentioned.

Meanwhile in the south - Goonspace shrinking further?

It's unclear whether it should or should not have worked that way. According to the documentation (hah!) if you leave an alliance or it is disbanded, sovereignty is reset AND will take 7 days to register again. Obviously this isn't the case, but neither side is making a fuss about it because we've known it to not be the case for a while. :ccp:

Via boingboing, The EVE Upset.

Quote
Lots of folks lose their livelihoods when an empire falls, and players invested in BoB are likely upset that years of work were lost. But EVE is not a game about the height of the Roman Empire. It’s a game about the sacking of Rome by barbarians, so that they can become the next short-lived top dog. BoB existed to be torn down, and anyone who dreams of permanent glory in a game like that should understand that their destiny is to be taken down by the next upstart, in a dog-eat-dog world.

Ouch Vac, what is happening to the Goons? KenZoku seems stable, but Goons losing sov FAST!

They are upping sticks and moving to Delve themselves I understand. Giving Kenny a real fight to keep the sov they have. Should have hit Sov 1 today after DT iirc too.

Really surprised goon haven't grabbed more space in Delve - if anything they appear to be reinforcing their current regions according to the latest influence map: http://go-dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Verite/influence.png

Haven't grabbed more? Have they grabbed any?

The influence map doesn't show any - but last time I checked in-game - they had some in delve and some in the region to the right of delve.  I wonder if they're setting up jump bridges to delve from their current base of ops.

Just looked in game - nothing for Sov or Const Sov for Goons (or allies) in Delve, Period Basis or Querious now.

It takes 7 days.
So basically as of tomorrow/Saturday we should start seeing Goon sov gain.
Which is why Kenny's trying hard to put towers into siege today ... :)

Ah - that's true - I'd forgotten that new-comers have the 7 day period.
Shame it didn't work both ways for ex-Bob!
