Never expected to see BoB dissapear from the landscape...

They will probably just get a new name and continue... but it will still be strange not to see BoB on the sovereignty map.

I wonder what will happen now. As far as I understand, the indivudal corporations are still there, "just" the alliance gone? Ie, aren't the corps there in position to start claiming the territory as soon as they get "BoB Mk.II" up? Or will other alliances really be able to claim the area before that?

Somebody has already made an alliance to reserve the "Band Of Brothers" name - although it's not a BOB member :)
They lost sov - and it'll take 30-60 days to build up I think to reach ownership level.  Not sure what this means for their outposts.  Worst case they are now attackable by others - and hence claimable.

Thier towers will now use about 25% more fuel - which means many borderline towers will go offline - which will make them easier to destroy - although you'll need dreads to take out the online towers.

sounds like BoB imploded - so rather than an infiltration it was like POTUS giving Iran the launch codes.
