Tempest (fleet work fit)
« on: July 13, 2009, 04:02:06 PM »
Been thinking about a tempest for the RR BS role.
Basically two different versions, one t1 and one t2 version. The t1 I'll be able to fly in about 2 weeks the t2 much longer :)

This is the basic t1 version (I'm considering between a trimark or acr which means switching a plate for a rcu both gives about the same EHP)

[Tempest, pest3]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Reactor Control Unit I
Fourier Transform I Tracking Program
N-Type Adaptive Nano Membrane I
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Damage Control II

100MN MicroWarpdrive I
'Orion' Tracking CPU I, Optimal Range
'Orion' Tracking CPU I, Optimal Range
Supplemental Scanning CPU I, Targeting Range
Supplemental Scanning CPU I, Targeting Range

1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
1400mm 'Scout' Artillery I, Domination Carbonized Lead L
Large 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
[empty high slot]

Ancillary Current Router I
Trimark Armor Pump I
Trimark Armor Pump I

79k ehp

and the worst dps/alpha this side of pluto... (also since i'm using my own skills right now which doesn't have any bs/large projs trained the difference could be significant)

The more expensive t2 version:
[Tempest, fleet pest sniper]
Tracking Enhancer II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Reactor Control Unit II
Reactor Control Unit II
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range
Heavy F-RX Prototype I Capacitor Boost, Cap Booster 800
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range
100MN MicroWarpdrive I
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range

1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
1400mm Howitzer Artillery II, Tremor L
Large 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
[empty high slot]

Trimark Armor Pump I
Trimark Armor Pump I
Trimark Armor Pump I

73k ehp
And a bit better dps.

Biggest problem is the increased grid of the t2 arties  and the injector which force 2 rcus.

advanced weapon upgrades is the answer ;)
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Whatever you do dont think to get that skill to V :D

IV is good enough for me and most of my fits.

The Tempest never really satisfying me, I had a go at a passive shield tank for it. When fitting I also found out why I always had cap problems with the Temp. Apparently the cap is so crappy that it cant even run a AB II without running out of cap (with my skills anyway). Unfortunately this means the fit below will run out of cap in 7-8 mins, but it will get a bit better with moar skillz.
Shield power relays will be changed for T2s (cheaper) as soon as I can fit em.
Changing the 2 Gyros for more SPRs means 40% extra defence, but also 30% less damage. Worth the trade-off?

[Tempest, passive shield]
Beta Reactor Control: Shield Power Relay I

Gyrostabilizer II

Damage Control II

Large Shield Extender II

Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Core Defence Field Purger I
Core Defence Field Purger I

-------------

149 dps uniform defense
all resists in the 50-60 range, but this is best I could get vs. Sansha
350dps (without drones), 3700 alpha
range 29+42 with EMP L
'Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime, and every kindness, we birth our future.'

'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.
The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'
