Fixed yer images, because they were broken. Not because I'm a pompous ass, but because it's better than the alternative (looking at the same horrifically broken code that I've been looking at all day).

Yeah Praag was on it's way down when I called it a night. Was fun until then, but there's only so much being rolled by twice your number that you can take, but it was good fun when we pushed em back a couple of times.

Seemed to be an organised attempt at locking the zone - did they succeed?

Yeah I guess this seems like a decent thread to "bury bad news", so here's a heads up. My sub expires tomorrow, and I'm currently leaning towards not renewing it. Not really much point going over my reasons for that since we don't need negativity, nor am I totally decided on whether to or not. Don't wanna just quit and drop off the face of the earth without saying something though, that'd be out of line since HoJ has been far and away the best part of playing WAR.

I'll probably log on tonight, but it's likely to be the last for a while.

Willpower gives a chance to disrupt magic attacks. It has the same effect for a melee and ranged dps (who get no other benefit from it) that (weaponskill/strength not sure which) does for casters - ie giving a small chance to parry. Toughness and resists are a massively better form of magic damage mitigation, there's just no two ways about it.

You can say you don't like to min/max, and that's fine, but there's no scope whatsoever for stating that willpower is a better stat than it actually is for melee (and ws/strength respectively for casters). It's an awful stat in these cases, and only exists on gear because of a huge oversight.

They have occasionally gone overboard on the religious storylines. I don't much like it myself, especially where they've gone with Baltar in season 4, but everything else is golden. The characters in that show are really good (Tigh is brilliant!).

B5 reruns ftw :D

<3 got all the boxsets. Fuckin' loves me some B5. I even liked Crusade and the tv movies they did (semi-)recently.

I'm dead easy to please, me.

I don't quite like the idea that i should stack hybrid stat for mitigation. When i see weapon skill on Archmage items (alot of them), i think 'ok, parry may be nice but armor penetration and hit is worthless for me, so i'm essentially wasting a significant part of that stat'. Same for melee, give them disrupt and magic resistances (with focus on spirit and corporeal for order), not willpower.

But generally yes i agree that ppl should pay more attention to their own means for survival.

It's just pissed up itemisation. Every game has it. Warhammer has it in spades. No caster should ever in their right mind intentionally stack weapon skill, nor strength. No melee should ever stack int (though I am willing to bet there are melee items, especially set items, with int) nor willpower imo (as you say - disrupt and resistances are there for spell mitigation).

It's just a question of how quickly they will fix it. Of course the danger is when classes get their itemisation fixed, it's effectively a buff (more stats for all). All the dps metrics they're measuring now are invalidated if they pull all the wp and ws off sorc/bw gear and give them all int instead (same goes for all other classes).

It should be a priority.

They were unlikable characters, fair enough. I didn't find them any more unlikable than 90% of characters in mainstream media though? They're just your common or garden american stereotypes. I bet Kirk in this new Trek film would not have looked out of place in Cloverfield.

Battlestar is still burning the quality sci-fi flame. God knows what we'll do when that's gone.

Excellent. They don't make it easy do they? I love the way the "General Information" section isn't available when you just click on "Licensing Information" from the front page.

Thanks very much, you may have saved me 140 quid a year ;)

Wierd. I'm diametrically opposed to practically all of you. I loved Cloverfield (it's a monster film, what were you expecting?), I love Lost (best season finales of practically any show), and I hated Farscape with a passion.  :D.

Agreed - although dont like lost after mid season 3 ;)

Whaaaat, that's when it gets really good *boggle*. I think I woke up in opposite world.

Did you stick with it till the end of the season? The last 4 maybe 5 eps of season 3 (the finale is top notch), and all of season 4 has been some of the best telly of recent times.

Just get stuck into T4 chapters. PVE is the way to go in T4, I found my xp rate skyrocketted once I really dedicated myself to the questing, and yes you will need to do all three racial lines. 30-40 really does go quicker than 20-30.

Just ignore SP and the other scenarios. Though if you are going to play a few games back to back, hop on the flightpath to Dragonwake camp and make sure to turn in both quests after each game, it's the only thing that makes the xp rate from that bearable.

You should not be experiencing difficulty levelling with 2 weeks worth of rested bonus!

I'm sure those of us who've seen fringe (more Abrams) can approach some form of concensus (it's predominantly arse).
