well as predicted the last year or two has been pretty insane and since I've started my new career (maths teacher... I know, I've heard all the comments) it's been even worse. Still with the summer holidays coming up, I hope to get some quality play in. Mainly with my RK but also possibly with Britestirm (sometimes you just gotta hit something and shout a lot you know)

If you see letradan, say hi!

Ooh, ooh, maybe covert some Stormtrooper armour into a TOR Trooper costume?!

Which one is the better babe-magnet?

Maybe it's just as well the new SW:tOR is not mac compatible. I could see me failing college over it!

(and before anyone gets all anti-Apple or smug about being a PC owner, I knew the pros and cons when I went Apple and I'm still happy with my choice)

Anyway. I'm delighted that the courts settled in favour of this guy. I'm tired of Lucas' constant grasping and possessiveness over Star Wars.  I know he was the man behind it, but come on, surely he's made enough and got enough glory from it already!

I finished my initial Mathematics course (revising all Higher GCSE and A-level maths in six months) and am a layabout student until September when I start my Secondary PGCE (Math) course. I know, I know, blame it on my Catholic upbringing which gives me an unhealthy desire to suffer emotionally and psychologically.

So I'm back in outer space. I'm not expecting to get back into the Corp (as I'll probably disappear in September again) but if you see me online, please wave hello (toons are Darkstrim, Warstirm and Justirm <some random surname>).

Will probably pop onto LoTRO as well now that my Desktop is back from surgery.

When CoH goes Free to Play, I may be able to pop on there as well (Sometimes you just need to blast things and CoH is still my fave game for that).

Although I have hope it will eventually lead to the Tower Hills and the Grey Havens.

Apparently the last expansion (which is heavily influenced by the movies) is just you going to the Grey Havens and saying goodbye to everyone you have every met, anywhere and at anytime.

The deed is called "I have to go as I really need to pee, when will this ever end"

The original HoJ. Back in the days when Molten Core was the ultimate raid. Back then, rogues knew their place, there were no huntards and everyone got on very well.

Them were the days. You young pups don't know how good you've got it with your 10 man raids, flying mounts and epics out the wazoo...

LOTRO is the only game I'm really playing at the moment. Of course, I still suffer violently from alt-itis so none of my toons progress very far...sigh.

I've given up on WoW. With HoJ disappearing, that was the final straw. I had been failing to keep up with anybody on any of my toons (although I did get my pally to 70 or so much to my own shock) and everything just took too much damn time. It ended up feeling like work rather than fun.

Not been on WAR since T1 went F2P. Was fun while it lasted but we didn't have much in common. It wasn't WAR, it was me. I was just not in "that place" in my life at the time.

Dabbled with Champions Online. Great fun but never really got into it and spent too much time defending some numpties in a log cabin from a zombie invasion so never levelled properly (spotting a trend?).

Tried Eve a number of times. It's gorgeous but I think i'm too shallow to commit :D

Occasionally play Dragonage. God that game is beautiful.

Would love an urban fantasy MMO. I'm thinking of The Dresden Files or something based on Charles Stross' books.

Maybe if there was an MMO with 1 class and 1 race especially for altoholics like me...

Hmm, this could be useful. Here's my sorry lot...

Darkstirm (L31 Human LM) who is in HoJ
Britestirm (L22 Human Captain, and a very poor one as well. Faceplant FTL!!) also in HoJ
Lyridan (L22 Elfie Minstrel. Tried for X-factor but Cheryl made him cry) crying in the corner of HoJ's guildhouse.
Letradan (L24 Elfie Runekeeper, newest toon and loving the RK class. Lightning from fingertips folks!!) kin free
Dasriel (L16 Elfie Champion, not played as much and mainly stays at home cooking) kin free
Thestirm (L19 Dorf Hunter. You gotta have one toon to annoy the f*** out of other people in fellowships. I think hunters rule at that :D) Kin free.

As i'm currently a burden on society and the bane of the current government (i.e. unemployed), my life sub to LOTRO has been a godsend during the week. I'm starting uni in Jan so may not be online as much.

Hope to bump into people!

not sure this is the right place. But since I'm spending so much time in Eve space, I would like to join a corp/alliance. Since I know some of you and know I get on with you, I would like to Join MAADI.

Hi Chaps,

well I haven't seen you guys online but then I've been playing during the day mostly. I'm... ahem.. "between appointments" after my old company's cost cutting measures swept a huge scythe through  my department.

I hope to bump into you guys at some point.

Well that certainly explains the population in T1 then! I've been having a lot of fun with old and new lowbies on Karak-Azgal (Order) and Karak Eight Peaks/Norn (Chaos). I've been able to try out various classes and have developed some firm favourites. Brightstirm (WP), Archstirm (Archmage) and Glokstirm (Eng) for Order with my Squigherder, Grogdosh for chaos. The herder especially is fun. I think it's the combination of goblin and pet class that does it for me.

By the sound of it, I should be in no hurry to progress these guys if T4 is as bad as you say.

Shame really as a good RVR session with the tide of battle changing between sides is much more fun than just zerging over the oppostion. I guess, T4 is victim of the "must win this game at all costs or my life is OVER" brigade.

Now that the Mac beta client is out, I can come in from the cold and start looking at playing again.

I presume HoJ is on Azgal? If so, would it be possible for me to join you guys? I have a few Alts (no surprise there) but my main is a Warrior Priest who I can transfer to this server (he's only L13 or 14 I think so he's ickle). I also have a L9 runepriest floating around somewhere.

Anyway let me know!

Cheers,

This was my very first MMO and I first played the US version when it came out.

I'm now back as it's still the best game to pick up and play for a short time - the Sidekick system alone makes it easy. Yes it does get grindy but get a good team together and you really don't have time to remember what the hell is going on.

Anyway - I'm back on the EU servers. My current aim is to hit 50 so I can open the Archtype. Green Emitter is my main hero with GIGObite my main villain.

The Architect missions are fun. Some guys have gone to a lot of trouble to create variety and fun (I briefly joined the fashion police beating on hideously dressed villains. So they make a good alternative to the game's standard missions.

And it runs on the Mac now. Added bonus!
