Little post-mortem communication is also required here.

Update or post if you havent where in the story you are.

Fitzer is at book 4, chapter 2 (The missing rider), which should be soloable (haven't just got to the are yet, wanted to finish book 3 first). Swuul and Praedor are on the first chapters of book 2 IIRC.

Kurtt's on Book 4 Chapter 8 of Volume I, and somewhere in Volume II. I've just killed 12 bugs in Moria if that helps.

Not sure about my others atm.

Got Fitzer to book 4, chapter 5 (Hiding in the dark) last night. I hope it is still soloable by a 36 burglar, even though there seems to be level 39-41 elite trolls involved in this quest; if not soloable (ie there are more than one troll at the sites where the elf stone is needed to be used), then I'll either need help or come back in ten levels  :p

I'll be able to help - we should be able to get you to Chapter 8 in 1 sitting i hope, then get Kurtt involved so he can complete his section too :)

the 3 caves required for this are full of trolls, a burglar could stealth them, but why do that when you can get a few friends and add those trolls to your kill deed ;) im sure at least one of mine is on this stage, my hunter iirc.

I soloed those caves at lvl 51. Just walked past the Trolls. I can walk to the ends of them and summon you in :D

I'm currently on the stage after talking to the Wood Troll.

Oops... I sort of did the quest already... Was pretty easy to sneak around, and in one of the caves I didn't even have to HIPS :)

Fitzer is now (thanks to Caradir :) ) at Book 4 chapter 8 (the escort Legolas quest). Which, if I understand correctly, is where Kurtt too is, unless he has advanced lately :)

Does Book 5 have a minimum level? I would be available tonight at about 20 GMT, and if Book 5 doesnt have any minimum level, then I'd be more than happy to continue with that :)

I'm still at this stage, so let's group up, possibly tonight, and give it a go.

Nice, we got all the way to Book 5 chapter 4 :)  Chapter 5 (and the other chapters in book 5) seems to require at least level 40, so I guess I have to go grind something with Fitzer before he can continue the epic story  :p

EDIT: And now that has been taken care of, so Fitzer is available to continue the story when others have time to do so too :)

Is it possible now to opt to do all books in solo mode, or just books 1 and 2?

Fitzer is still stuck on Book 5 chapter 5, as it is a fellowship quest, but if I dropped the quest and then took it again, would I have the option to do it as a solo quest?

Other than that, Fitzer is starting on Book 7 (need to ride again to Council of North dudes, should have completed Book 6 first and *then* ride north, not the other way around; who in their freaking right mind decided it is a good idea to tie a travel location to reputation, and reputation you can only get by completing quests in the location you can only get to if you first complete the quests... brilliant thinking... don't we all love to run around for nothing, makes the game so much more interesting and challenging, ffs...) and Vol II Book 2.

Its not soloable that one afaik as Beo still has it, and the stupid dorf loves to run off....

Fitzer completed all Books of Volume 1 up to (and including) Book 8 yesterday.

It is marvelous to finally see how the story evolves :)  And before somebody says it has all become too easy, well, yes, it is easier now as you don't need to find 5 other people in the deserted zones to complete the epic quests. However, I don't think it is *too* easy, Fitzer at level 56 had some serious trouble at getting to some of the places where the quests were to be done. Some of the instances were easy, some were suprisingly hard (like the Book 5 chapter 7 or 8 where you have to hunt the Nazgul -> even though the mobs were already grey I thought I would croak but the Man self heal saved me).

I've never seen so many people in the Angmar zone before. Looks like many others are now finally completing the epic quests there :)

Fitzer completed Volume 1 last night. Had to take maximal advantage of the free traveling during weekend :)

In my opinion the story reached it's peak in Book 11. I really did love Book 11 (except for the silly "chase" from Evendim to Trollshaws). Book 15 was quite a disappointment story-wise and quest-wise, except that the end was quite epic (apparently it was hard to come up with a fluent transition from Book 14 to Book 15, and it feels like a lot of duct-tape had to be used and it is covered with lots and lots of traveling around (my favourite: Ride from the cave in Trollshaws to Rivendell to check if a horse is saddled, then ride back to report it is saddled just fine... what sort of genious comes up with a retarded quest like that?). Then again, as said, the final fights in Book 15 are truly EPIC, so all is forgiven :)

And a screenshot which hopefully isn't a spoiler. Just a few seconds before hell descended and broke loose, a lull moment before the final storm :)

Yes, I am happy one can now solo the epic quests of Volume 1 :)  The quests felt truly epic, and I don't know if I ever would have seen them all without this change.

Finally finished Volume One Book V on Beo :)

I have to admit I do like that Inspiration thingy. Its quite nice. Doesnt make things feel too easy either, and from what I understand only counts for between 1 and 4 players if you do it grouped, so with 5 or even 6 things are as challenging as they were designed to be.

I'll be able to to do Book 1 C11 on my LM now I think!

book 4+5 are 1 story

I've arrived at Vol 1 Book 1. And I'm finally getting a vague understanding of how the game works.
