yeah its pve for me I like to make progress in game the vocal minority think every ones going pvp would have liked old server names would have made easier for any old players to find each other they must be expecting a big fall off.

I was 38 when I started playing 53 now I think my twitch reflex has long gone for pvp lol.

was going to reserve the name Backdraft on both pve servers so my bases are covered.

think the client is based on the one used for the latest xpac

Jon has not been on here for 4 months or so I don't think there will be anything HoJ happening and I have seen about 3 other people besides myself on here in the last 6 months.

Blizz seem to have gone with very few servers with layering on them which means even if there are loads of people from vanilla that you knew you may never see or bump in to them.

shit a brick only 2 English speaking pve realms mirage raceway and pyrewood village and 2 pvp realms golemagg and shazzrah. its like they have no faith in it.

on the stress test last night there were 15k queues on the 2 servers, they had to open 2 more and that was just the stress test.

I would have liked to see the old server names would give people a chance to re-connect I know they have new forums for people to re-connect and set plans for a common server but not many will go to official forums they will log on see server names and go from there.

There is a global pre-launch stress test on the 8th of august and you can save char names on the 13th up to 3 names for anybody that may happen by and be interested. ;D

edit:name reservation now on the 12th at 11pm uk time

Blizzard just confirmed Russians will be the only ones to have their own servers in classic and they are pissed French/german and everybody else will be mixed in together just give me a infinite ignore list and that would be helpful.

After spending some time in this stress test/beta
must say it was like going back in time the people gave me that community feeling again people chatting lots of banter level 5(capped at 5) raids to orgrimmar and on Hogger.

some tw*t stole my name and i had to run around as Backdrafts.

Well just found out the stress test is from midnight till 2am tonight uk time after somebody told me it was at 11am today they can screw that. :o

Well I got in to the server stress test for classic as it only lasts for two hours it may be over before I get in lol.


edit: seems its at 11am today so probably 2 hrs of trying to tag a mob with a 2 minute respawn timer or something.

Hi Ash only really me(BD) and Caradir(Bigcogg) seem to frequent these forums anymore don't even see Jon's name on the site though he could be on at 3am or something.

I still play retail but its not the same hardly anybody from 2005/6 playing does not feel like the same guild anymore the newer people are probably good people and it may be me getting older but I find I cant be arsed with them lol.


I will be playing classic but if there's nobody else i know on i probably wont last long and i know it will not be the same anyway but its worth a try.

Yeah i was looking at the old videos you did on youtube recently you dont get fun like that anymore.

I will be playing classic/vanilla
I just hope we get close to the community feeling we had back then where there was people that seemed like demi-gods I remember a gnome rogue who was the first to get the highest pvp title he used to hang around the bank in Ironforge looking mighty(lol) cant remember the name though but I have a feeling that the whiney entitled kiddies will be there in numbers already see them on the forums wanting changes.

The great feeling I had when going to buy a mount at level 40 and finding I was about 30 gold short will be grinding gold from the start this time :)
and grinding ghouls in western plaguelands from 58 to 60 what fun or it seemed like it at the time.

anyway see you there.
