"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

After a jaunt at the weekend to a socialist collectives underground night club (read for the music not for profit) "Soundhaus" in Glasgow though id share some "grindie" music.

With influences from rock, grime, drum and bass and techno, it so should sound shit but doesnt.

not quite sure what to make of it, esp. 2nd song oddly enough does sound a bit commercial (music i'd expect in the hit charts anyway) to me

but your description of it makes everything right  ;)

Ruud tells me this sort of music is a (new) crossover with EU and US/CAN influences and similar music is available on the label of deadmau5 (sure I linked their music elsewhere in this thread). He also tells me that at least some Dutch DJs (he names Tiesto, Don Diablo and Laidback Luke) have dabbled with this style, with or without appearances of US rappers.

FYI  ;)

Talking about old school. Vin is thinking about making a drum 'n base mix, which for me brought back memories to this (real fun starts at 2:20 / good memories of way back when I was a student (*shh!*)):
