EVE Online / Silo purchase

Could someone during the week, if you have time, buy a normal pos silo. I didn't have the time to get it all sorted this weekend but I intend to switch production in the bimener poses to sylramic fibers as the carbonide price is crashing. Bought everything else but need one extra silo which I forgot.

Put it in the corp hangar in kasrasi and I'll sort it on friday.

Well a bit late but still.

4 kills: 2 drakes, 1 purifier and 1 stiletto
17 deaths: 9 battleships, 2 arazus, 1 harby, 2 vexors and a bunch of pods.  (there should be some logistics deaths in there I think)

Basically we were in a "RRBS" gang but not a sniper gang nor a short range gang but a medium range gang.

We picked the system to fight in. In M-M at the bloody gate. So we had 40 battleships with RR sitting at that gate trying to shoot mostly drakes with plenty of logistics support. They killed with impunity as the targets evaporated before we had a chance to lock and rep and of course we couldn't hit worth shit.
Or maybe that was me, dunno in either case the fuckup was immense and my opinion is that it was from using "medium range" which mean being able to hit to at least 60km (virtually impossible with any kind of dps with both blasters and autocannons) so for me it was arties with short range ammo but at point-blank range the sig radius/tracking meant no damage.

So beware of the medium range fleets. They are niether here nor there so they have no advantage over anyone and only disadvantages.

This due to me getting a job which means I have to live with my mother where I won't have any computer to play with hehe

So really good news :) or bad if you think I should slave around eve all the time hehe  :D

I tried the rorq clone vat bay today.
Is fairly simple so if someone needs a jumpclone it is possible to fix it via the bay. For remote ops the rorq can store 7 clones :)

Well I learned the hard way today that even if you set a char to +10 in corpstandings if that char is in a npc corp the guns WILL fire :P

Lost my cynoalt to friendly fire today hehe :) Just so you all know. Don't try to cyno with a neutral cyno at one of our poses. Unless there is some silly setting I should have done :)

EVE Online / Pos deployment "ops"

Going to post when I intend to deploy a pos here. Simple reason is that if someone wants to tag along and watch/scout/whatever they will know when it happens.

On Tuesday the 13th I intend to deploy the platinum tower. Anchoring will start about 10:15 evetime so that onlining takes place during downtime.

My thoughts are basically, without coordination in GW we will lose and lose badly.
I don't think they have any real connections to any bigger entities. They can probably field larger cap fleets than the gw coalition and are using this as a practice run to claim sov somewhere else.
"We" should given proper coordination be able to field larger fleets of sub-caps.

EVE Online / Pos defense ideas

I've bought and hauled most of the stuff for the moon mining ds I'm going to set up in gw (if the moon is still available that is)

The fit is a fairly standard using a amarr tower so nothing much about that.

However we need to be prepared that someone might attack it. If they do we should have an idea of how to defend it. While if it is a large alliance we might not be able to successfully do so if we can kill more isk than we lose (the tower costs about 650m not counting fuel and such).

However having some of our own isn't a bad idea.
The more pos gunners we have the better ofc but the main defense is still the fleet.

One idea I had was to use a black ops bridge to bridge in a bomber fleet to deal with support which should make it more possible to kill some capitals with the tower.

Feel free to come up with other ideas and pick this one apart :)
