I'll be on Blightweald as Defiant.  Playing with a guild called Pandion Knights.

My Guardian will be rolled on Steampike.  I'll find a group when I get round to it.

I may roll someone on a pvp server too, but not decided.

Ill probably go onto a PvE server to start with.  The main reason being im going into this game blind as i didnt participate in a the Beta hence ill want to get a feel for things first.

Oh and i'd just like to say " Holy 8.32 Gb download Batman"  :D

1.5 hrs for the full patched download   ouch!

Just because i can't help it, even though it doesnt go live till tommorrow evening. After it had finished the full 8 gig plus update i tried to start the game. It informed me i wasnt authorised then proceeded to play the full intro for me anyway. not to bad one has to say.

Im working an early turn tommorrow so providing no-one does anything stupid and i manage to get through the day without any serious incidents (fingers crossed) , I should be home for about 6 pm. Kids in bed by 7, wife ignored by 7.30 and im there  :D

I'll roll my defiant toons on Firesand.

If you peole roll your PvE toons on Steampike, then I'll head there for my guardians too. Need to reserve all my usual names after all (you know, Swuul, Fitzer, Tracer, Silanthir etc :) ).

EDIT: Have a meeting tomorrow evening, so I guess when I get home there will be 3 hour queue to the servers...

Russian cominity choose The Cloudborne PVP and Icewatch PVE servers. If you prefer to be on server without russian people you may choose another server. Sory for bad English

yeah i read that i also read they chose blightwaeld so we will have to see.

seen alot of uk guilds saying they are going to icewatch too but i will keep an eye on the forums and jump left orr right depending on which way the russians go then theres only the polish and italians to watch out for. :)

I'll be on Blightweald, same guild as Jon, infact. Would be cool if the HoJ lot jumped on the same server, though. Otherwise we'll just be stalking each others names in battlegrounds :p

hehe im playing gauardian so if i do go there im not telling any char names  :D

seems the uk guilds originally going to icewatch are leaning towards stormpike because of our russian friends so may go there.

You guys not starting HoJ in Rift then?

if that happened, only 2 people would still be playing after first few months ;) isnt that how HoJ works these days :P

That's it really. You slackers aren't bothering with it, so there's only Me, Jon and now Dlarah playing it on the same server/faction. This guild we've joined are pretty much a clone of HoJ anyway, but a lot bigger by the looks of it. Have a look, see.

Pretty much this, our ability to "ooohhhh shiny" when it comes to any games is huge, so its just easier to not do that in Rift - which as you say Dan could just be another flash in the pan, but also might not be. Dont want to risk it at this time.

They do get around, started off in FPS games I think and moved on from there.  Quite a games history really.

Fair do's.

We're all just waiting for SW it would seem.

And I am still playing WoW at least, just pratting about Horde side for a bit. RealID me if you need me.

Damnit, the people I intended to play with have decided not to head to Firesand after all (fearing it will have too little open world PvP).

Blasted :(

Maybe I'll just follow you guys to Blightweald then. No damn way I will go on Whitefall (the famous botguild RusCorp (also been active in EVE) will head to Whitefall), and it would suck if I end up being alone on Firesand due to nobody rolling toons there.

And of course we are all getting older and have more family commitments now. If time was no object i'd probably split my time 4 ways. 12 hrs gaming - 6 hrs sleeping - 3 hrs at the gym and the last 3 hrs doing everything that was left.  still beggars can't be choosers and needs must when the devil (wife) drives.

Ill probably go onto the server you lot are on then and see how it goes. If i get into the game ill look up your guild / alliance / club or whatever they are calling it in this game   :D

Aye, hes stalking me I swear!

He's has mellowed over the years from the arrogant tosser he was at the start of lotro though, I will say that.  Will certainly be interesting having him and his community about.

Taking a while for my skills to tick even with low latency.

Was never able to log onto the chosen server yesterday. I did manage to get on a server after a 30 minute wait and over the course of several hours i got a warlock to level 9. seems ok as a game and supprisingly my laptop runs it ok. Ill wait until my next few days off and give it a proper try.

Lastnight was a bit insane, it has to be said. Luckily I managed to get back home before 6 so only took me around an hour to get online.

Apparently there was some guy in our guild there that had an estimated time of 6 years  :D

Gave up trying to get in last night, went to bed and woke up early this morning. Created warrior Takuur (somebody had nicked the name Leonidas), Cleric Praedor and mage Swuul (all at level 1 still). My Bard-Ranger-Bladedancer Fitzer is now at level 7, riding his turtlemount.
