As one of the protagonists I also have to apologise - I was having a major sense of humour loss from too much scenario playing.  This game is giving me some of the best game play but also some of the most frustrating, I've been waiting for this game for ages, bought the CE, registered for beta ages ago etc etc. so I'm pretty invested in it, I'm constantly putting in feedback to the devs because I want this to be a great MMO, but sometimes it all gets a bit too personal, letting the petty little frustrations get to me.

I hope guild chat can be a place where we can vent amongst friends but long rants and whines that just bring people down are not right and so I'm sorry for that especially to the guys who were otherwise having a good time.  Anyway, I left the guild mostly in a huff - I want to see this game (and my Witch Hunter) through the whole arc and I would like to do that with you guys if you'll have me back.

I would like an alliance of equals - on my Chosen alt (which I dont really play so much) the guild was in an alliance with the largest guild on the server.  They basically used us to run suicide diversions while they capped other keeps, thinking that they were somehow the leaders.  We left pretty quickly.

Hi fellow hunters of evil -

for tactics I've followed the forums and yes flowing accusations seem to deserve a permanent place.  Others maybe depend on context - pvp, solo pve, PQs etc.  we have 5 slots to switch between (out of combat alas).  The choices seem to be between DPS and survival.  This choice is a very knotty one for WH to make.

Peronally speaking I started my life as a WH thinking we should max DPS by any means possible but I think as I progress I need to build up my survivability - particularly against casters.  This is on the same principle that Von Tirpitz required of his battlecruisers - Royal Navy battlecruisers in WWI had lots of punch but crappy armour - Kreigsmarine battlecruisers could take more of a pounding: the theory being that sunk ships can do no damage. So, I have tried to decide between sanctified bullets and flanking.

I agree with the idea that we all burst into the chamber together to execute Da Plan and the more practise the better.  Ultimately I hope we can have ready made task forces who know their job, and (more importantly) know that others know theirs.  The keep lord takedown is basically a PvE excercise -  my experience in Wow (especially on the Vashj and Kaelthas fights) tells me that focus on a single task whilst completely relying on others to focus on theirs is the way to get the job done.  So, as DPS when I was engaged in a boss fight I just did DPS and ignored my health bar trusting completely the healers to do their job.  An example of this in a keep siege is - if you are assigned to the ram just stay on it even if you start taking hits.

So, perhaps if we draw up DA PLAN - starting with arrival in theatre and ending with keep lord death then we start practising it - the aim being that an unopposed takedown by a single warband should take less time than it takes the dest zerg to find out where we are and get over there.  If we can do that we can lead the destro in a merry dance - they cant be everywhere with the zerg. We can also boil it down to a limited number of activities which the WB leader can call and everyone know what they have to do.

I found out last night that a WH is unbelievably squishy when it comes to the stair fight - it is nigh on impossible for me to make any contribution to that.  The best I can do is try and run in build up accusations by hit and run and then try and pop a DOT on.  Anything else and I am frozen on the spot and killed in seconds.  Our pick lock skill is apparently broken, but when it is fixed I could imagine trying to co-ordinate the door rush with a postern door rush by the WHs to kill healers.  Apart from that it feels very much like a spare wheel atm being a WH in a seige with our little potato guns firing snap-shot and no way to flank.
