pvp setups
« on: April 17, 2009, 03:01:17 PM »
Ok, because Rub felt I need to feel important (he missed his calling as a psychologist), he granted me access to this part of the board.
And maybe to give the pvp-ship program a better place to develop, too.

We had a chat on Vent today, and we decided that I would make a setup for pre-fit frigs and cruisers to be used in pvp.

So this thread is to be used to set up this program and discuss it, if needed.

(*(WORK IN PROGRESS)*)

FRIGS

5(+) ships
2 tacklers
1 or 2 ewar
2 or 1 dps
pvp ships should also have some ewar capability
no armor
6 ships: 2-2-2 setup, >6: dps

Amarr
dps: punisher 4-2-4
e-war: crucifier 2-3-3
tackle: executioner: 2-2-2 (or crucifier)

Caldari
dps: kestrel 4-3-2 / merlin 4-4-2
e-war: griffin 3-4-1
tackle: condor 3-2-1

Gallente:
dps: tristan 4-3-3
e-war: maulus 3-3-2
tackle: incursus 3-3-2

Minmatar:
dps: rifter 4-3-3
e-war: rifter/vigil
tackle: vigil 3-3-3

some races' tacklers are not to be prefered (amarr, caldari?), same goes for e-war (minmatar), but we might set em up anyway to give players some choice?

CRUISERS

4(+) ships
1 tacklers
1 ewar
2 dps
pvp ships should also have some ewar capability
5 ships: 1-2-2 setup, 6: 1-2-3, >6: ?

Amarr
dps: Omen 5-3-5
e-war: Arbitrator 4-4-4
tackle: -

Caldari
dps: Caracal 5-5-2 / Moa 6-4-4
e-war: Blackbird 4-6-2
tackle: -

Gallente:
dps: Vexor 5-3-4
e-war: Celestis 4-5-3
tackle: Thorax 5-3-5

Minmatar:
dps: Rupture 6-3-5
e-war: Bellicose 5-4-3
tackle: Stabber 6-3-3

To-do:
- fittings
- finance arrangement on cruiser fittings
- finance in general
- PR
- comments?

When we have something that looks suitable - we'll prefit the ships at the POS for people to use.
I'll also be able to carry 'em as spares on the carrier for fleet action.

Handy even as spares - and with awesome skills even the most lacklustre ship can shine in a given role.

Because, I tend to like to fly off the wall or believed to be stupid ships where I can :)

Its why I own a Worm and a Gila (the worst faction ships ever :D). They are pretty hard to fit well, but fun why they are fit well.
