For whatever reason I am completely unable to launch the game, it starts fine but crashes on the splash screen after login with no game error.
Event log gives a faulting module name of "RemoteRenderer.dll" as well as a separate "File not found" error (although it doesn't say which file helpfully).
I've tried various things like updating my gfx card drivers without any success so thought I would try my luck here :(

No one of us on comms has had issues. But I did some googlefu.
try this:
Client_defaults.ini file in the retail client folder, changing fullscreen-false
(Not sure where the folder is, most likely under EA somewhere in programs etc)
Not sure if it works, but its an idea.

Also install the correct version of this:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14431#filelist
for your ops system and see how it goes.

x86 is win7 32bit, 64 is obvious...

Nope, I already tried the first and the C++ update didn't help either. Might just sack it off until tomorrow and hope there are some more suggestions about.

Anything on the official forums about this?

Nope, didn't even get as far as choosing a server all weekend. I send them off a whole load of diagnostics as requested on the official forums but just a generic response saying they received it.
Its something client related, since there were people who had done previous beta testing with no issues seeing the problem so they should be able to fix.
The problem is basically hardware incompatibility so I just need to save my pennies faster and buy a new rig.

ATI card?

Yeah, X1650 ... it just meets the min spec. Main problem is my PC doesn't have PCIe (its a server basically, so while the CPU/Mem is way above spec I can only ever install AGP gfx).
We'll see if they get it working, otherwise it'll just be a few months before i can play (and having never played I won't get withdrawal ;D)

Tough break Cess, was looking forward to getting the old THF guys back together.
